Dr. Hosam Attia is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a focus on vitreoretinal surgery. He received his medical license in Texas in 2020 and has been board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 2013. Dr. Attia’s expertise is backed by fellowship training in Surgical Retina and extensive training in uveitis. His medical journey began at Cairo University, where he received a merit-based stipend for academic excellence throughout his years in medical school.

Since joining Shah Eye Center in 2020, Dr. Attia has brought a wealth of experience to the team. Prior to that, he served as a Vitreoretinal Surgeon in Tallahassee, Florida, and even took time to volunteer in Cairo, Egypt.
